Wikio acquires Nomao

French social networking news and blog portal Wikio, which merged with Overblog earlier this month, has announced its acquisition of local news search engine Nomao. The all-paper transaction has created a group with around 120 workers and an anticipated turnover of more than EUR 10 million this year. The enlarged company's marketing director, Frederic Montagnon, told AFP that the company intended to at least double its revenue next year.
