WiLAN announces new CEO, retirement of interim CEO Skippen

Quarterhill has announced the appointment of a new CEO for its WiLAN company. Keaton Parekh will start heading the unit from 9 June, based in Palo Alto in California. Before joining the company, Parekh was the chief intellectual property officer of Lumileds. Before that, he worked at SanDisk, Rovi, and Tessera Technologies. Quarterhill said that with the appointment of Parekh, and with Doug Parker moving forward in his position as CEO of Quarterhill, James Skippen will now retire from his positions as executive chairman of Quarterhill and interim CEO of WiLAN.
