Wind adds 363,000 new mobile customers in Q1

Wednesday 15 May 2013 | 10:28 CET | News
Italian operator Wind reported first-quarter revenues down 9 percent from a year earlier to EUR 1.23 billion, hurt by cuts to termination rates and price pressure on the mobile market. Mobile revenues fell 10 percent to EUR 888 million, and fixed-line revenues were down 6 percent to EUR 341 million. EBITDA declined 5 percent to EUR 461 million, but the margin improved to 37.5 percent from 36.2 a year ago. Wind claims it took 100 percent of net subscriber additions on the mobile market in Q1, adding 363,000 new customers compared to end of 2012 for a total 22.013 million at the end of March.
