Wind CEO calls for "open" Metroweb to meet broadband targets

All Italian operators should join forces with state-backed holding company Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) to ensure that Italy meets EU digital agenda targets, according to Massimo Ibarra, CEO of Italian operator Wind. Ibarra made the suggestion in an interview with Italian daily La Repubblica. "We need to set up a vehicle that includes all the operators and the CDP, with a view to making long-term investments and benefiting from the resources that the government has decided to make available for the first time," said Ibarra.
