Wind Tre, Open Fiber activate 1Gbps FTTH service in Salerno

Thursday 1 November 2018 | 09:13 CET | News
Italian operator Wind Tre has announced that the first commercial fibre-optic offers using the Open Fiber wholesale network have been launched in the southern port city of Salerno. Wind Tre said it's offering a genuine fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service via infrastructure that supports speeds of up to 1 Gbps in 17,000 households, with another 27,000 to be added in the next few months. Users in Salerno can sign up to convergent plans with unlimited data under the 3 Italia brand or with 100GB of shared family data under the Wind brand.
