Windows OS most used to access French websites in September

Over 98 percent of visits to French websites were made using operating systems used on computers (fixed, portable or netbooks) in September, according to a study by Mediametrie-eStat. Windows OS devices remain at the top with 91 percent of visits, despite a 2 percent drop in visits via computers compared to January. Mac OS accounts for more than 6 percent of visits via computers, up from less than 5 percent in January. As for visits of websites made from mobile phones, their number rose by 52 percent compared to January, boosted by the iPhone (1.2 million visits) and Android (1 million hits,
