Windstream loses customers, revenue in Q2, profits higher

US operator Windstream maintained its full-year guidance after reporting an improvement in Q2 profits. The company's adjusted OIBDAR rose 1 percent to USD 482 million, operating profit jumped to USD 155 million from USD 79 million, and the net result moved to a profit of USD 1.5 million from a loss of USD 111 million a year ago, Revenues were still lower, at USD 1.36 billion versus USD 1.42 billion in Q2 2015, while adjusted service revenues fell 1 percent to USD 1.33 billion. Consumer and small business ILEC service revenues fell 2 percent to USD 395 million, and carrier service revenues
