Windstream recieves fibre contract from U.S. Dept of Defence

Advanced network communications provider, Windstream has announced it has been awarded a 36-month contract, valued at more than USD 3 million, by the United States Department of Defence, to supply two U.S. military bases with upgraded fibre networks. The new fibre connections will provide a faster, more reliable network for both Fort Knox in Louisville, Kentucky and Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, Texas, offering four times the bandwidth of its current network.
