Wintel to lose 7 pts of market share to iOS, Android in 2013

Friday 11 January 2013 | 10:30 CET | News

Canalys projects that the Wintel PC market share will shrink to 65 percent this year from 72 percent in 2012. Canalys research analyst Pin-Chen Tang expects Windows 8 to have a negative effect in early 2013 to the extent that most consumers are put off by having to learn a new OS and that Windows 8 is perceived to work best on a touchscreen PC.
