Work on Cameroon-Brazil SAIL cable to end by late summer – report

Thursday 12 April 2018 | 09:08 CET | News
The completion of the South Atlantic Inter Link (SAIL) cable system, linking Cameroon to Brazil, is expected between August and September, based on the information gathered from Cameroon Telecommunications (Camtel) by Cio Mag. Co-financed by China Unicom, as well as Camtel, the project was initially scheduled for completion by the end of 2017. Huawei Technologies' JV Huawei Marine is expected to start laying the cable over a distance of 6,000 kilometres in the third week of April.
