Worldwide server market factory revenue lifts 1.9% in Q4

Factory revenue in the worldwide server market increased 1.9 percent year-on-year to USD 14.5 billion in the fourth quarter, according to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Server Tracker. Server unit shipments improved 2.8 percent to 2.5 million units. For the full year, worldwide server revenue lifted 2.3 percent to USD 50.9 billion while worldwide unit shipments advanced 2.9 percent to 9.2 million units, a record high. IDC said it continues to see signs of a server refresh cycle, as well as continued infrastructure investments by cloud service providers. Volume systems experienced 4.9 percent
