XcellAir, Benu Networks integrate platforms

Tuesday 19 April 2016 | 14:15 CET | News

XcellAir entered into a partnership with Benu Networks to integrate XCellRAN Carrier Wi-Fi platform with Benu’s Virtual Service Edge (VSE) and enable operators to deliver managed business services across small office home office (SoHo), small medium business (SMB) and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) markets.

For small businesses that do not have the same expertise as established players, the partnership will provide operators with Wi-Fi that enables them to deliver services.

XCellAir’s XCellRAN platform provides operators scalable Wi-Fi assurance through automated provisioning of Wi-Fi access points, automated radio optimisation delivering reliable performance, and automatic healing of the network without intervention by engineers. Once integrated with Benu’s VSE, this will provide a fully virtualised and simplified managed Wi-Fi platform that is vendor agnostic. Furthermore, operators that choose to work with the joint platform will also have the ability to expand into other Wi-Fi areas, including homespots, hotspots and metro area deployments.
