xG signs Costa Rica mobile broadband contract

Mobile technology specialist xG Technology has announced a USD 100,000 order from Costa Rica telecoms operator Itellum for the deployment of its xMax mobile broadband wireless equipment and services in a network to be initially installed in the city of Escazu in the San Jose province, with plans to expand to other Latin American locations. xG said Itellum is one of four companies who have entered into a formal agreement to participate in the initial xMax deployment, the others being Level 3 Communications, Osmin Vargas Corporacion and MB Technology Holdings.
