Xiaomi accounts for 60% of mobile phones smuggled to Brazil

Xiaomi phones account for 60 percent of smuggled smartphones in Brazil, according to the Brazilian Association of Electrical and Electronic Industry (Abinee). Abinee director Luiz Cluudio Carneir, told TechTudo that smartphones sold illegally do not have authorisation from Anatel and may be incompatible with the electric or telephone network.
