Xiaomi, Andon create iHealth smart health device JV

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi's venture capital arm has agreed to invest USD 25 million in Chinese healthcare electronics maker Andon Health, China Money Network reports, citing a regulatory filing. Andon Health will establish a new entity dubbed 'iHealth', based in the Cayman Islands, and inject its related global businesses in electronic and smart health device division iHealth into the new platform. Xiaomi Ventures will own a 20 percent stake in iHealth. iHealth will develop health products and services that can be applied to Xiaomi's e-commerce and cloud platforms.
