Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 8 Pro in Romania, aims for crown of phone market's mid-segment

Xiaomi officially entered the Romanian market by launching the Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone. The 6GB+64GB variant is offered at RON 1,199, while the 6GB + 128GB model costs RON 1,299. Andrzej Gladki, telecom director of Xiaomi's CEE, Nordic and Baltic countries said during an event held in Bucharest on the occasion of the phone's official launch that the company will be the "king" of the Romanian mobile phone market's middle segment, according to local paper Ziarul Financiar.
