Xiaomi Mi 5 launches in South Africa

Mobile in Africa Group (MIA) has launched the Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone in South Africa for ZAR 7,999. The device is available through MIA's online shop and at Dion Wired, Makro, Incredible Connection, Takealot, hi-online.co.za, and Foschini. It is also available on contract through Vodacom, with a uChoose Flexi 150 plan with 5GB of bonus data priced at ZAR 399 per month for 24 months. The Mi 5 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 3GB of RAM and features a 16MP rear camera, 4MP front camera and 3,000mAh battery.
