Xilinx to cut workforce by 7% after slowdown in telecom spending

Xilinx announced plans to cut its global workforce by 7 percent, as part of a wider effort to reduce costs in the face of a market slowdown. The chipmaker said it saw a slowdown in both wireline and 5G infrastructure deployments as well as global trade tensions impacting results.
