Yoigo to enter mobile data, international call price war

TeliaSonera's Spanish subsidiary Yoigo will join the price war on the Spanish international call and mobile data services market. Yoigo ended 2010 with 2.3 million customers, up from 1.5 million in December 2009. In 2011, Yoigo plans to "consolidate its 'La del Cuarto' tariff plan, grow its broadband services penetration via smartphones, increase its network speed up to 21 Mbps, as well as launch an educational campaign on mobile internet services. These targets can only be achieved by entering into the "price war on the Spanish market", Yoigo CEO Johan Andsjo said in an interview with Cinco
