Newly merged online retailer Yoox Net-a-Porter reported pro-forma sales of EUR 1.7 billion in 2015, up 21 percent at constant currency rates on the year-earlier result. The company said the significantly improved figures were due above all to its increased focus on mobile, which contributed almost 40 percent of the group’s sales, boosted by native apps which surged by 180 percent. The retailer rolled out a full social shopping network called The Net Set in May and launched a new Net-a-Porter.com Android app in time for its Christmas campaign.

Net-a-Porter owner Largenta Italia and Yoox merged in October to create the Yoox Net-a-Porter Group, the world's largest online retailer focused on luxury brands, which will continue trading on the Milan stock exchange.
