Yota launches LTE in Belarus

The Belarusian branch of Russian operator Yota has launched a wireless broadband network based on LTE technology. Testing of the first five base stations started in Minsk last week, reports Tut.by. The network is based on equipment from Huawei under the LTE 3GPP Release 8 standard in the FDD regime. Yota plans to launch more sections of its LTE network in Minsk and Grodno by the end of November.
