Yota to launch own LTE smartphone at MWC

Wednesday 12 December 2012 | 15:44 CET | News
Russian company Yota Devides, a subsidiary of the operator Scartel, plans to present its first branded smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2013, CEO Vladislav Martynov told Vedemosti. The Android-powered device will support GSM, 3G and LTE and feature a 12 megapixel camera. The back of the phone will have an additional 4.3-inch black-and-white E-ink screen to display incoming messages. This is expected to reduce power use by the main colour display and allow continued access even when the battery is low.
