YouGov survey finds nearly half of Germans only use apps on home screen

Monday 27 November 2017 | 15:19 CET | News
YouGov said that developers should realistically assess the chances their app has of making it onto a mobile device's home screen when developing an app. Apps that respondents said are particularly important include messenger apps (55 percent), time-keeping apps including alarm clocks (50 percent), cameras (50 percent), weather apps (49 percent) and email services (45 percent). Other apps and widgets only rarely end up on a user's homepage, including dating apps, ticketing and event service apps and entertainment apps (2 percent each) as well as travel apps (3 percent).
