Young adults lead US smartphone sales - survey

A survey conducted by Nielsen in July found that 55.5 percent of mobile subscribers in the US now own smartphones, compared with 41 percent a year earlier. Overall, young adults are leading the growth in smartphone ownership in the US with 74 percent of 25 to 34-year-olds now owning a smartphone. up from 59 percent a year earlier. In addition, teenagers between 13 and 17 years old demonstrated the most dramatic increases in smartphone adoption, with 58 percent of US teens owning one, compared with 36 percent the previous year.
