Young Poles run up telecoms service debts

The debts of Polish users of telecommunications services has exceeded the threshold of PLN 1.14 billion, reports Telko.in citing a report from the National Register of Debts. Retail customer debts make up 83 percent of the figure. The rise in debt is the most rapid in the age group 18-25 years old and Slask is the regional leader. 

The debts of 18 to 25-year-old customers now totals PLN 147 million, up from PLN 4.6 million in 2014.

The average debt of subscribers of Polish mobile operators currently totals PLN 2,643.58. Among those aged 18 to 25, it is PLN 3,070.25.

The statistics show that 23 percent of indebted users reside in settlements with fewer than 3,000 residents, and their debt totals PLN 205.5 million.
