YouTube dominates French internet video market - study

YouTube is France's most popular video website with a 39.6 percent market share, according to Mediametrie. The market researcher tallied 27.9 million unique visitors to internet video portals (70% of French internet users), including TV channel websites. In a study which excludes pay video and internet video ads, Mediametrie found Google/YouTube to have 22.29 million unique visitors, 1.04 billion video views and 37.09 million hours watched per month, followed by Dailymotion with 11.02 million visitors, 157.4 million views and 4.31 million hours watched per month. Next came TF1/WAT with 8.28
