Zain Jordan launches HSPA+

Zain Jordan has launched broadband services using HSPA+ technology. Zain Jordan CEO Abdul Malek Al Jaber said the company invested JOD 120 million in 2010 to provide the 3G service in 2011. The HSPA+ service will provide high-speed internet at up to 21 Mbps upon launch, and the service can be upgraded to provide up to 42 Mbps in the future. The HSPA+ network covers 97 percent of populated areas across Jordan, with about 1,000 stations installed across the country.
