Zain Saudi cancels plans to sell towers to IHS

Zain Saudi Arabia said it cancelled plans to sell its towers to IHS Holding due to regulatory reasons. Zain said it has received a letter from the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) indicating that IHS did not fulfill the regulatory requirements pertaining to the sale and lease back of the passive towers infrastructure and thus Zain KSA will not sell the towers to IHS.
