Zamtel scraps mobile money fees to prevent spread of Covid-19

Zambian operator Zamtel said that it has scrapped charges on all peer-to-peer transactions in order to promote the use of Mobile Money to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. The waiver aims to discourage the use of physical cash and follows discussions with the Bank of Zambia and other stakeholders.
