Zantel appoints Janin as new CEO

Zantel Tanzania has appointed Benoit Janin as its new CEO, taking over from MPratap Ghose who had held the post for three years, following Zantel's acquisition by Millicom International. Janin has sixteen years of experience in the telecom industry and was previously CEO for Tigo in Chad. There, he led the firm to double-digit growth. Tigo was one of the first firms in Central Africa to introduce 4G services. Janin said his focus will be to enhance Zantel through improved 2G and 3G networks.
