Zattoo to close its web TV service in France

Swiss-based internet TV service Zattoo, whose core operations are in its home market and Germany, said it will pull out of the French market in the first quarter because of the expiration of several licence contracts, reports Broadband TV News. Launched in France over 6 years ago, Zatoo has only been available as a subscription service called HiQ. The company said its French user base was only in the low four-digits.
