ZICTA releases free extra spectrum to support web capacity during pandemic

The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) has released additional frequency spectrum to telecom operators at no extra cost in order to enhance internet service efficiency, ITWeb reported. The temporary spectrum given to MTN Zambia, Airtel Zambia and Zamtel is meant to cushion the impact of Covid-19. ZICTA corporate communications manager Ngabo Nankonde said it will enable ICT consumers to use high-speed internet.
