Ziggo buys Esprit Telecom for EUR 18 mln

Ziggo has acquired Esprit Telecom for an estimated EUR 18 million, from the Detron ICT & Telecom Group. Esprit Telecom will continue operating independently under its own name for the foreseeable future. The take over of Esprit Telecom is subject to approval by the Dutch Competition Authority (NMa). The acquisition included Zoranet, an ICT provider that focuses on the retail sector. The company, based in Zwolle, has 25 employees. Esprit Telecom provides voice and data services for SMEs in the Netherlands. The company, based in Almere, has 75 employees and serves around 5,000 customers. It
