Ziggo revenues up 1.7% in Q1 on growth in mobile, broadband

Dutch cable operator Ziggo saw its revenues increase 1.7 percent in Q1 to EUR 294.2 million. Organic growth, excluding the takeover of Esprit, was 0.8 percent on an annual basis. Ziggo said it had a solid start to the year, with continued growth in broadband, mobile and the business market. Its adjusted EBITDA fell 4.3 percent from a year ago to EUR 213.1 million, hurt by higher investments in customer service, innovation and marketing. The net result was a loss of EUR 38.4 million versus a profit of EUR 92.7 million a year earlier. This included one-time costs of EUR 93 million for
