Ziggo ups Q1 revenues 0.6%, loses 49,700 customers

Ziggo said first quarter revenues and churn were pulled down by the Ziggo and UPC harmonisation of networks and services that took place in the period. The merged entity lost 49,700 and 46,600 services, including 43,000 in Ziggo's service area. The group did add 10,300 broadband subscribers and 28,900 mobile subscribers. Revenues grew 0.6 percent from the year before while the EBITDA decreased 3.5 percent on the back of the company's integration costs (rebranding and harmonisation). The group launched an advertising campaign in April around the Ziggo brand, with special attention on broadband
