Zimbabwean govt clears USD 20 mln debt to NetOne

Monday 15 July 2019 | 09:53 CET | News
Zimbabwe's government has cleared a USD 20 million debt to NetOne and its partial privatisation is on course, as two regional telecoms firms have submitted bids for a minority shareholding, ZBC News reported. The clearance of the debt has seen the parastatal forging ahead with its turnaround strategy, which is among factors expected to increase its profitability. ZBC reported that MTN of South Africa and Unitel of Angola are interested in buying a stake.
