Zimbabwean internet penetration falls 2.3% in 2019

The internet penetration rate declined by 2.3 percent to 60.6 percent in 2019 from 62.9 percent in 2018, according to the latest industry report from the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz). It blamed the decline largely on the significant reduction in competitive promotional offerings by operators, and dwindling disposable income, forcing subscribers to cut down on use of multiple SIM cards.
