Zimbabwean mobile money subscriptions rise 3% in Q4

 Zimbabwe's total number of active mobile money subscriptions increased by 2.7 percent to 6.49 million in the fourth quarter to 31 December 2020 from 6.32 million in Q3 ended 30 September, the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) says in its latest report. Telecash was the only operator to record a decline, to 5,222 from 19,198 in the previous year, down 72.8 percent. NetOne's One Money had the biggest growth, at 9.6 percent to 936,479 from 854,320. Econet's EcoCash subscriptions grew by 1.9 percent to 5.55 million from 5.45 million in the previous quarter.
