Zimbabwean mobile phone subscriptions rise 2.2% in 2019

Active mobile phone subscriptions increased by 2.2 percent to 13.19 million in 2019 from 12.91 million in 2018, according to the latest industry report from the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz). Econet recorded a growth of 6.6 percent in subscriptions to 9.1 million whereas NetOne suffered a decline of 2.7 percent to 3.1 million and Telecel a drop of 17.2 percent to 910,677.
