Wednesday 8 May 2019 | 09:13 CET | News
Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (Potraz) director-general Gift Machengete has been questioned in parliament about why operators raised data charges at a time when consumers are suffering in the harsh economic environment, reports NewsDay. Machengete appeared before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on ICT and MPs asked him to explain what necessitated the increase and whether airtime was affordable in Zimbabwe compared with other countries in the southern Africa region.
