ZTE inks deal with Hidassie Telecom

Chinese firm ZTE and the Ethiopian company Hidassie Telecom have signed an agreement for the importation and assembly of ZTE smartphones in Ethiopia. Hidassie, which is engaged in the production of phones and TVs, and the distribution of SIM cards, mobile apparatus and CDMAs, aims to get technology transformation from the partnership and hopes this will benefit the country in the form of foreign currency, Addis Fortune reported.
