ZTE seeks order to wind up Kenya's Flashcom

Chinese firm ZTE has gone to the High Court in a bid to wind up Kenyan telecommunications operator Flashcom over a USD 5.5 million debt that accrued from the supply of goods. ZTE says in a petition that Flashcom has failed to pay the debt, and that the firm is now insolvent and should be wound up. The Chinese firm adds that Flashcom has not contacted it for negotiations on how to settle the sum, more than six months after making an official demand, Business Daily reported.
