ZTE signs on for German smart cities project

ZTE has partnered with three German mayors to develop smart technology options in their cities. ZTE signed an agreement with authorities in Russelsheim am Main, Raunheim and Kelsterbach to develop innovations to be implemented across the region. The three mayors, along with ZTE, have also announced plans to found digital think-tanks in the region, known as 'Smart City Innovation Centers am Main'. In a statement, ZTE said it hoped the region could serve as a model for smart technology use within Germany. ZTE is currently involved in smart technology partnerships in 145 cities worldwide.
