ZTE to supply 5G-ready base stations to Italy's Go Internet

Thursday 17 October 2019 | 09:56 CET | News
Italian operator Go Internet announced an agreement with China's ZTE for the supply of 5G-ready base stations as part of an upgrade of its network in the central Marche region. In a statement, the Gubbio-based operator said the contract was a vital step to ensure it remained competitive in a 5G-oriented market. As part of the deal, the base stations will initially be used to migrate Go Internet's Wimax network to LTE in Marche before being upgraded to 5G in both Marche and Emilia Romagna.
