ZTE to unveil OTN product for fronthaul networks at MWC

ZTE has announced the launch of a new optical transport network (OTN) product at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The company's ZXMP M721 OD61 product is optimised for fronthaul networks and is designed to address what ZTE describes as the growing CPRI (Common Public Radio Interface) challenge facing mobile operators. The product features 60G bandwidth capability and multiple service access point availability to connect Baseband Units (BBU) and Remote Radio Unit (RRU) to the CPRI interface. It also supports point-to-point networking and is built to withstand severe adverse
