Welcome to the Telecompaper Mobile MVNO/SP List. This is a fairly comprehensive listing of MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) and mobile SPs in the world today, as well as relevant news. Where possible, the defunct or purchased entities are listed as well. MVNEs are listed by country after MVNO/SPs. See below for general MVNEs, a news archive, some MVNO resources, etc.

(UK) ISP that offers mobile broadband as well and BT Talk Time. (SP) Full MVNO on Vodafone network, targeting Businesses. Became MNO in the UK after finalising the purchase of EE in 2016. (IT) New MVNO from December 2010 (IT) BT Italia, the Italian subsidiary of British Telecom, has decided to move from MVNO to full MVNO. In addition, the operator has changed its network partner from Vodafone to Telecom Italia. The agreement with the Italian operator's mobile unit TIM was signed back in August, but the changeover will take place in 2014
French hypermarkets group Carrefour launched its MVNO service, Carrefour Mobile, using the Orange France network, on 8 November 2006. The retailer offers the service at its 218 superstores across the country. In Nov 15 stopped completely in France. Cust transferred to Sosh and Mobicarte. Was also active in Greece but has stopped there too. Still active in Belgium and Taiwan. In italy it is active under the name of Uno Mobile
Telecom Italia Mobile has agreed to lease its network to retailer COOP (largest supermarket chain in Italy).
Ethnic MVNO targetted at Romanian community.
Italian broadband operator Fastweb has launched a mobile service. The mobile services are called Ovunque and Mobile and offer mobile voice and mobile internet services.

Lycamobile offers prepaid SIM cards with reduced international calling rates, focusing on users who normally use calling cards to phone abroad. The company has set up MVNOs in the following countries: UK, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Portugal, Australia, Denmark, France, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Spain, Italy and recently US (March 2013) and Austria (November 2013), Tunisia (2015) and Romania (2015). Macedonia followed in 2016, and Lycamobile launched in Ukraine in July 2017. South Africa followed in 2019 and Uganda in 2020 It ceased its operations in Hong Kong in April 2018
MVNO Noitel Mobile launched end of 2012. Noitel has been active on the Italian fixed telephony market since 2011, as well as in the satellite and VoIP segment.
PosteMobile is part of the Poste Italiane Group and offers traditional mobile services.
Italian MVNO Rabona Mobile has launched of a low-cost brand called ‘Si, Pronto’
Launched by Vienna-based Mass Response in June 2015, Spusu offers no frills tariffs to consumers and businesses. Its portfolio will be expanded with LTE services in the autumn of 2015. In 2020 launched operations in Italy.
ISP Tiscali agreed to launch a mobile service in Italy using the Telecom Italia network (july 2007). Tiscali's MVNO offers prepaid and contract services under its own brand, integrated with its fixed-line products.
