Onomondo's eIM can be used independently of Onomondo connectivity. It intends to make interoperability practicable instead of merely theoretically possible.

Cohere, Aleph Alpha sign definitive merger agreement
Canada-based Cohere and Germany-based Aleph Alpha, providers of secure, sovereign AI to customers in the government and highly regulated sectors, have signed a definitive agreement to combine their businesses. The merger was announced in April 2026. The combined group will operate worldwide as Cohere.

Vodafone Spain's business arm, Vodafone Empresas, has secured a three-year connectivity and mobility contract with Huspy, a proptech firm that digitises home buying, selling and mortgage management. The deal brings together communications services across Huspy's 17 Spanish offices under a single provider and includes mobile services tailored to the company's operational needs.

Xplora buys back 500,000 shares to fulfil staff and management incentive schemes
Xplora Technologies said it has completed a scheme to buy back up to 500,000 of its own shares for a maximum of NOK 25 million to support its staff share and management incentive programmes. Following the completion, Xplora holds 539,401 of its own shares. On 16 September, there were 47.85 million Xplora shares, according to its website. The buyback had been announced on 08 September this year.

'Smart' ring maker Oura has announced the expansion of its proprietary Menopause Impact Scale (MIS) and its appointment of a number of independent directors. It says its MIS is now integrated with Alloy Health, Oova, Xella, Pomelo, Wisp, Maven, Mira, Hertility, Gennev and Tia. Extending the MIS beyond the Oura App into clinical and health workflows aims to give women and their medical practitioners a more consistent way to track menopause effects and make more informed treatment decisions.

NTT Docomo Business to launch GPU as a Service
NTT Docomo Business announced the launch of 'GPU as a Service', giving customers access to flexible GPU compute capacity for their AI projects from as little as one GPU. Available from 30 September in Japan, it's designed to provide easy access to compute resources for businesses looking to experiment with AI or run ad hoc projects, without having to face the high costs of investing in their own equipment or the constraints and delays faced with long-term contracts.

Openreach says Liverpool leading major UK cities for digital migration
New data from Openreach show that Liverpool is leading major UK cities in the move to digital phone services, with only 6.35 percent of legacy lines left to migrate before the copper PSTN network is switched off at end-January 2027. It is followed in the top five cities by Manchester (7.35%), Sheffield (7.55%), Cardiff (8.35%) and Leeds (8.62%).

Orange Cyberdefense, the cybersecurity arm of France's Orange group, has announced the appointment of Victor Manuel Hernández Gómez as Country Manager of its recently-launched subsidiary in Spain. Hernández has been tasked with overseeing the overall performance and development of Orange Cyberdefense's activities in Spain, in close collaboration with the Orange Cyberdefense Management Board and local operator MasOrange.
