Second-hand phone ownership broadly stable at 22% in France – survey

Second-hand phone ownership has remained broadly stable in France at 22 percent, reports BFM RMC citing the 2026 edition of the annual survey carried out by Kantar for device reconditioning specialist Recommerce. The proportion of respondents who have ever owned a second-hand phone has risen closer to the 50 percent mark, compared with 45 percent in January 2025. This rate now stands at 68 percent among those in the 15-18 age group, driven by parents' propensity to buy second-hand phones for children.

Digi Italia RGUs up 7% to 524K

Romania's Digi Communications Group announced in its fourth quarter 2025 results statement that its Italian subsidiary ended December with a total of 524,000 revenue generating units, up 6.9 percent compared to the year-earlier result of 490,000. No financial data was disclosed for the unit other than a dip in average revenue per user (ARPU) to EUR 5.5 at the end of December, compared to EUR 5.7 in Q4 2024.

Kosovo telecom revenues up 7% in Q4 to EUR 48 million

Kosovo's telecom industry saw a 7 percent increase in revenues year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2025, reaching EUR 47.9 million. This represented a 14.2 percent drop from the previous quarter, according to the Regulatory Authority of Electronic and Postal Communications (Arkep). Mobile telephony was the biggest contributor, bringing in EUR 34.5 million (+9.3% year-on-year), while internet services generated EUR 12.5 million (+2.8%).

Belgian ICT services group Cegeka has named Koen Deryckere its new CEO from May. He replaces Stijn Bijnens, who left last year to become the Proximus CEO. Deryckere comes from Accenture, where he has worked over 25 years and most recently was CEO for France and the Benelux.
