Senior Editor

Telecompaper, a leading online source of news and research on the global telecommunications industry, is looking for a senior editor (32-40 hours per week). Candidates should have several years of journalism experience, a good understanding of current developments in the telecommunications market, fluent spoken and written English and the ability to read and translate at least one other language, preferably Dutch. The position includes writing for our daily news service serving professionals in the telecoms industry, sub-editing news from correspondents worldwide and occasionally filling in for the chief editor to manage the daily news flow. In particular, we are looking for a strong reporter who can develop industry contacts, chase up and further develop the day’s headlines and write exclusive news stories based on interviews and industry expertise. The position requires excellent communication skills, flexibility and a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work both independently as well as a core member of a small team. Candidates will preferably be based in the Netherlands, near the Utrecht area, but applicants with strong skills outside the Netherlands may also be considered.

Our daily news coverage and publications are read by thousands of people every day. To keep up our quality and accuracy in providing the most up-to-date and comprehensive news coverage in the global telecom industry towards our growing number of international customers, we are looking for news correspondents to cover a specific geographic region.

Applicants must have a good understanding of telecommunications markets and of the dynamics in the wireless and broadband markets in particular. The candidate will have at least 2 or 3 years experience in the telecommunications industry.

Researcher / Analyst

To support our clients, we require a Research Analyst to provide research, advisory and market analysis services. The Research Analyst will focus on the planning and execution of research and analysis for the telecommunications market. The particular emphasis will be on wireless and broadband technologies and applications. In terms of geographical coverage, the successful candidate will have good knowledge of market developments in Europe in general, but the Netherlands in particular.

The candidate will have at least 2 or 3 years experience in the telecommunications industry; this can include working with consulting firms, market research firms, telecommunications network operators or (mobile) terminal or device vendors. The Research Analyst will work from our offices in Houten, the Netherlands.

Candidates also require the following general qualifications:

• HBO and/or Academic qualification;
• Ability to create specified volumes of written documentation for research to meet client commitment;
• Ability to write clear and concise research reports, create presentations and to present findings to clients, colleagues and other interested parties including the press;
• Skills to answer client inquiries in knowledge areas and to provide individualised consulting for clients;

Telecompaper is looking for a Marketing / Sales manager. As a small, but growing company, we are looking for someone ready to take on all facets of this important position, including:

• Marketing and selling Telecompaper products and services;
• Setting up and managing a network of international sales agents;
• Large account management;
• Assisting in product development and management;
• Providing internal support for sales and administration;

Preferred candidates will be located in the Netherlands (near Utrecht) and available to start work immediately. Candidates should have the following general qualifications:
