Almost half smartphone users would use free city Wi-Fi

A new venture called Bullseye WiFi plans to launch soon free Wi-Fi services in city centres in the Netherlands. Users will receive five minutes free access for watching a 3-second ad. Around 1,300 participants of the Telecompaper Consumer Panel were asked whether they would use such a service. They were also asked whether reduce the use of mobile data services due to more public Wi-Fi services and whether this is making them consider changing their mobile data bundle.
